New Membership Structure and Fees
The
structures being proposed are laid out in the accompanying document
along with the associated fees.
In essence the changes are:
a. to reduce Ordinary individual fees from $50 + GST to $21 incl. GST
b. to create the new level of Professional individual membership at a fee of $50 + GST
c. to remove the current 4 level, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, organisational membership structure and replace it with a two-level structure of:
Small with a fee of $100 + GST and Large with a fee of $500 + GST
In
order to implement these changes some Constitutional changes are
required. The Governance and Constitutional Committee have been
discussing the necessary changes and they are described for
Membership approval.
The votes being put to the Members are:
- To accept the proposed Individual Membership structure and fees, and to accept the proposed Organisational Membership structure and fees
- To accept the necessary Constitutional changes to enact the new structures.
The membership vote require a simple (50+%) majority to pass but the Constitutional changes require a super (66.67%) majority to pass.
