Information on these pages is submitted by intending members of InternetNZ. Information is encrypted in transit and is used only to provide membership services and is not provided to any third party unless required by law to do so.
Online Democracy Activities
Periodically InternetNZ conducts a variety of online democracy activities, and in each instance a statement of what information is collected, for what purpose, and how long it is kept, is stated. Examples are:

Online voting by members of InternetNZ: secure ID (passwords and logins) to verify that voters are financial members of InternetNZ; record of votes; material deleted by Voting Officers after vote is completed and result announced. Amalgamated, non-identifiable, results are usually retained and displayed on the website.

Online polls of members and public: no login and password required; usually a requirement to provide email address and/or physical address for authentication; record of votes; material deleted by Voting Officers after vote is completed and result announced.
