This project relates to pursuing initiatives on Digital Communities and rural broadband availability.

Project Budget:

$40,000 has been budgeted for the Digital Communities project in 2008/09.

Overall Progress Summary:

InternetNZ is engaged in ongoing discussions with Local Government New Zealand (LGNZ) and other stakeholders following on from the outputs from the digital communities summit in early 2008, and is flowing through to the activities of the Rural Broadband Working Party, the Digital Development Council, and other activities.

Activities Planned for October 2008:
